Hello and welcome to my site.  My name is Marti Newkirk and I have enjoyed photography as a hobby since I was a teenager in Journalism class. We each had the privilege of using the class 35mm for one week to shoot a roll of film to capture our friends and events for the newsletter and yearbook. I’ve been hooked ever since! Every family has at least one person who always shows up at parties and get togethers with a camera – that’s me in our family.

Now that my girls are all grown up and out on their own, I finally have time to enjoy it further and experiment with it again. I love learning the effects of varying lights and how a slight change of angle can totally alter the feel of a photo. I enjoy taking classes to learn more and get new ideas. And I thank goodness everyday for the internet and all of the knowledge that is just a mouse click away.

My hobby has become a small business as friends and family show their photos and are often asked, “Who did these for you?”,  “How much does she charge? ” and “How do I get in touch with her?” This website is designed to answer all of those questions and more.
